I just bought a car and need auto insurance new. I quoted in various companies Allstate Insurance and looked good to me. Since I was not able to customize coverage I wanted to trade online, I decided to talk to Allstate Agent in Peron in the place of sale. I got the price and coverage that I wanted and everything seemed fine until I learned that it takes 3 days for my insurance to be effective. Is it normal? I used being with Geico who purchased online and gave me when I signed up and pay online.
Posters are correct. they could be are waiting for your payment by check is good. but even then, if there was a bad check that was, then had an accident, could refuse your request on the basis of a blanket and a check. you have a new car and need immediate coverage to protect you. is not rarely does anyone get the misfortune of having an accident just minutes after purchase insurance, I received complaints from this kind. but in new applications, the agent of the habit of writing to date. or 15 hours if in an accident at 3, 15 hours, you're covered. I have seen claims where the person in an accident, then goes to a polling agents and the purchase of insurance. which can then reject the request because if a police report was filed, it displays the date and time, and the application will be validated uninsured at the time of the accident. I suggest you contact the main office of Allstate and talk to someone and ask to be sure it is secure before entering his car. good luck
